It's been awhile since I've posted anything. It's either writer's block or I'm chasing a kid around all day while trying to keep the house presentable, shopping for cars, and all the other things that go along with being co-CEO of a household. Speaking of shopping for cars, we DID find one with the help of our resident car guru, Chris Bishop. Check out his blog, Behind The Wheel, here. He helped us consider cars that weren't on our radar but should have been. Our problem was that we needed a family size car that can get out of it's own way (in the words of my Dad) but wanted compact car gas mileage/emissions and to maintain an environmentally responsible way of living. Our mission was realized when we found the Lexus RX400h (used). It is a hybrid SUV with plenty of space for our long legs in the front and Everett's big rear-facing car seat in the back. Yay!
The only other thing I can think to mention at the moment is Everett's incredible need to eat us out of house and home. Our pediatrician told us to feed him until he gives us a cue that he's done. That never happens! Things he's loving lately include cottage cheese, graham crackers, pears, mango, banana, string cheese. Oh, and he ate half of a big yellow squash yesterday! I see many Costco trips in our future. Good thing we got the SUV. :)
