Happy 3/4 birthday, Everett! Here are your stats!
At 6 months
Height: 27.5 inches (88th %tile)
Weight: 16 lb 3 oz (25%tile)
Head Circumference: 43.2 cm (48th %tile)
Today (9 months)
Height: 28.5 inches (60th %tile)
Weight: 17lb 12 oz (10th %tile)
Head Circumference: 45 (45th %tile)
He had a blood draw and a shot. Not fun, but he was a champ anyway. The goal now is to move toward real food and away from baby food. The pediatrician encouraged us to feed him off our plate, use the same spices we would use for ourselves, and basically not hold back while being safe about it. The only no-no's are nuts, shellfish, eggs, and peanut butter. And of course, no whole milk until 12 months.
Our pediatrician was not worried about his drop in weight percentile as he is quite active and burning it off. He is ahead of the curve as far as motor activity. Growth spurt coming? We'll see!
Oh, and a proud mama moment...she said, "I know this is probably too early, but is he waving?" And at that moment he stuck is little arm out and waved at her!!! She said, "I can't believe he just waved when I said that!" hahaha!
Most importantly though, Eric and I have been so happy over the last 9 months. Being parents has enriched our lives and our relationship in ways we never could have imagined. We love you so much Ev! Thanks for being so awesome! :)
That's hysterical! I'm totally going to remember this when Contessa's wanting to walk everywhere and we need a break. :)
