Where's Your Brother?
Well, Everett really isn't getting enough credit around here. Yesterday, during conversation with Dada and I somehow it came up to ask him "do you know where your brother is?" He spun around a few times looking around the room until he stopped with intent having made his decision and pointed at my belly! Wow! We were really impressed. I mean, we really don't talk to him a whole lot about it based on the assumption that at nearly 18 months and with no concept of what a "brother" is, he just can't possibly understand what we're talking about. The majority of our conversations about his brother consist of "ugh! You're squishing your brother!" and "*grimace* stop kicking your brother!" as I am so often converted from mother to jungle gym. So perhaps now, in these last 8 or so weeks, we'll talk a little more about it. :) That's right, I said EIGHT WEEKS!!!

Ev's New Chair
Ev got his own little chair to replace the rocker we need for the new baby. Preferred mode of entry and exit: the chair's left arm. Silly kid!

17 Months - Funny Words and More...
Some of Ev's funny words:
Gagoos = crackers
Ohweos or Ohweoweos = tomatoes
Boobie = blue green - let me explain...I've been going over colors. He loves his stacking rings, which in order, are blue, green, etc...so maybe he thinks blue and green are one word. And he says this word, boobie, a LOT! hahaha! Not sure that he knows what blue or green is yet.
Everett has started to be really affectionate lately. I have gotten my first voluntary kisses lately. He stops what he's doing, starts opening his mouth like a fish and comes at my face. My face is wet, but my heart is full. This is the only time messy kisses are a good thing.
He shares his food constantly. He loves offering me bites, and he even grabs the utensil I'm holding and spoons food into my mouth, then his, then mine, etc... Of course, he DOES steal food out of other kids hands, but he also feeds them. Haha!
Here are a few pics from a paint playdate we attended this month. Lots of fun to get messy! :)

Car dancing
Please forgive the shakiness of this video. I assure you I was not driving, but despite being the passenger, I am 7 months pregnant, and find turning around to face the backseat a bit of a challenge. Plus I had to dance a bit myself. :)
Guide to this video:
-At the very beginning you see his version of snapping
-He has to play cool guy for a few seconds before the music takes him over, so be patient.
-His word "ah!" plus hand motion is sign language for all done, which is explained in the video, but for some reason I'm telling you anyway.
Needless to say, I'm glad we purchased a carseat with extra head protection. Haha!
